Malcolm Sinclair believes himself to be the only Jacobite soldier in the Earl of Cromartie’s regiment who escaped the devastating defeat at the hands of the Sutherlands at Little Ferry on 15 April, 1746. Approaching Inverness, alone and nearly frozen, he joined with a group of Frasers, only to face the Government forces—and his death—on Culloden Moor, 16 April, 1746.
Restless and haunted by the terrible tragedies that encompassed the last 36 hours of his life, Malcolm jumps at the chance to do a heroic deed and escape the moors—and hopefully the demons that lurk in his mind—forever.
But he didn’t realize the damsel-in-distress would be a despised Sutherland . . .
Malcolm A Highlander Romance The Ghosts of Culloden MoorBook 16 edition by Cathy MacRae Romance eBooks
The terrible Battle of Culloden Moor devastated the Scottish clan system for decades. It certainly must also have devastated those men who fought it--on both sides of the affray. The history in this small book is true and yet poor Malcolm (as with all his compatriots) has been left to battle his "ghosts" alone. Given a last chance to settle them, he jumps at the opportunity and fulfills a mission to aid another in her battle to save her grandfather's distillery. Cathy MacRae has brought another story to life and has hit it out of the ballpark. Great job, Ms. MacRae. You've written another winner.Product details

Malcolm A Highlander Romance The Ghosts of Culloden MoorBook 16 edition by Cathy MacRae Romance eBooks Reviews
First couple of books in this series were wonderful. Books seem like they are getting shorter and less complex. Course with 79 men to rescue can't expect a full length novel. Great concept with heart.
Once again another great story in the series. I would highly recommend this book to my friends and anyone else who reads Scottish romance books.
Thank you Cathy MaeRae. Almost wished this tale was longer, only because it was that enjoyable. Loved the research, the distillery, as well as PTSD. Keep up the excellent work.
Enjoyed this story very much. Liked the characters and the plot of this book. I like that this author addressed the PTSD problem and the way service animals and in this case a dog soothes the inner demons. Unto the next.
I am enjoying every single book of this series. Each story is different and some have surprising endings. I'm not a reviewer who retells the story. Just know that it is very enjoyable and well worth reading the entire series from start to finish. Different authors participate in the story telling, yet the theme remains the same. It's really a great way to tell a story!
What a great story- distillery and ghosts and intrigue all add up to a great story. While this is one of the shorter stories - Malcolm's story with PTSD powerful reminder of the horrors of war and how war can haunt all of us including the 79.
This, like the others I have read so far, is a clean, but very romantic story., and I enjoy these stories for that reason.
Malcolm, who has a condition now recognized as PTSD, adding an interesting perspective to his story confronts his fears, and overcomes them for love.
I fell in love with him, too.
